Seven years ago JSC Latvijas balzams joined the rapidly growing spirits production and distribution company Amber Beverage Group. Following the decision made by the Shareholders’ Meeting of JSC Latvijas balzams on 30 September of last year, from 1 May 2022 the further name of the company will be JSC Amber Latvijas balzams.
When in 2015 the leading producer of alcoholic beverages in the Baltics, Latvijas balzams, joined the Amber Beverage Group, the name of the company was not changed at that time, maintaining its historical name and allowing ABG to gain international recognition in the coming years.
“At the moment, when ABG is already known as a strong and stable market player, to the name of our company has also been added to the recognition mark ‘Amber’. This will help us gain new customers and, accordingly, larger orders,” says Intars Geidāns, Chairman of the Board of JSC Amber Latvijas balzams.
“With this news no changes are expected for the company’s employees, suppliers and service buyers,” comments Intars Geidāns. Along with the changes, the official name of the company, company details, e-mails of employees and the website address to www.amberlb.lv have been changed.
JSC Amber Latvijas balzams is the leading producer of alcohol beverages in the Baltic States with a history steeped in tradition since 1900. The company has two production facilities in Riga – a distillery of strong alcohol beverages and sparkling wines and a light alcoholic beverages production plant. JSC Amber Latvijas balzams is one of the leading exporters in Latvia, as well as the company is one of the largest taxpayers in Latvia.
