Latvijas balzams, the leading producer of alcoholic beverages in the Baltic States, continues to gradually implement the goals set for 2020 and expand its gin portfolio with a rare and specific to the region beverage – Cross Keys Gin with a sea buckthorn taste.
“It is the gin category that has grown the fastest in the world in recent years, gaining special popularity for gins of different flavours and colours. The gin we produce has earned widespread recognition in the Baltic States, Great Britain, Italy, the Netherlands, Australia and elsewhere, so we continue to diversify our premium gin assortment with Baltic-specific flavours,” says Maris Kalnins, Global Brand Director of Cross Keys Gin.
“Although 2020 will go down in history as perhaps the worst year in eyes of humanity, it has been a year of both challenges and innovation for us. Wanting to be different from our competitors, we have decided to offer a bouquet of flavours and aromas typical to the Baltic region, as well as to popularize this unique and versatile berry – sea buckthorn,” explains Maris Kalnins.
The new drink is produced by the leading alcoholic beverage producer in the Baltic States, Latvijas balzams, while it enters the market with the help of the largest Latvian beverage distributor, Amber Distribution Latvia. Initially, the new Cross Keys Gin Sea Buckthorn will be available in the network of Latvijas balzams stores throughout Latvia and gradually – in other retail chains.
The attractive orange Cross Keys Gin Sea Buckthorn has an original bouquet of taste and aroma; the drink is filled in a sand-coloured clay bottle to give unforgettable pleasure to gin lovers. Along with sea buckthorn, the drink is complemented by aromas of chamomile and linden flowers, but all this is completed by the juniper notes typical of gin.
Cross Keys Gin is the first premium gin made in Latvia at Latvijas balzams distillery, and since 2018 it has been found in the brand portfolio of Amber Beverage Group, a global alcoholic beverage producer and distributor. Its name and visual solution are one of the ancient symbols of Riga hospitality, which can also be found in the coat of arms of Riga – crossed keys. The high quality of this drink has already been evaluated by international industry experts, awarding the gin with “The Spirits Business Gin Masters 2019” gold medal.
